What's Happening

Important Dates for Back to School 2019-20

First week of July = Online registration opens for currently enrolled students. 

July 30, 12:00pm - 7:00pm = Walk in registration at the school (finish online registration, pay fees, turn in physicals and health forms)

July 31, 8:00am - 3:00pm = Walk in registration at the school (finish online registration, pay fees, turn in physicals and health forms)

Aug 2 = Elementary teacher assignments and class lists will be posted after 2:00pm (Jr High and High School schedules can be accessed on TeacherEase)

Aug 12, 5:30pm - 7:00pm = Open house for students and families (meet the teachers, bring in supplies, set up locker/desk)

Aug 14 = First day of school for Ktg-12th graders (full day of attendance 8:15-3:15)

Aug 21 = First day of school for PreK students

* Health forms can be found under Enrolling Students > School Health Forms. Reminder: physicals and immunizations need to be turned in BEFORE the first day of student attendance.

*If your home address has changed over the summer, please plan to come to walk-in registration to complete the necessary forms.

*If your email address has changed, let one of the secretaries know. Elementary: ssteffen@lexington.k12.il.us, Jr High and High School: ksharrow@lexington.k12.il.us. 

*New families to the district can complete the New Family Registration Link under Enrolling Students > New Family Registration Link 2019

About our school

The Lexington School District is located in and around a small rural community situated along Interstate #55, north of the twin cities of Bloomington and Normal. The city of Lexington has a population of approximately 2,100 people and is viewed as an up-and-coming community with small town values and big city amenities.  Approximately 500 students in grades PreK-12 are housed at one campus located in Lexington. Our school is rich in tradition in the classroom and on the athletic fields.  We are proud of the outstanding academic opportunities that we are able to offer our students, whether it is our small class sizes of at the elementary level, or the multiple dual-credit opportunities for our high school students.
