Smile Illinois Dental Clinic

Our semi-annual dental clinic, Smile Illinois, is coming to Lexington School on Sept 25 and 26. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to receive preventative dental care. The team of licensed dentists and hygienists will set up a mini-dental office in our building. Participating children will receive cleanings and fluoride treatments. X-rays and sealants are also offered, when applicable. All students up through the age of 18 are eligible.

  • The Smile Illinois program accepts private dental insurance.
  • The program also has subsidized fees for those who choose to pay for the preventative care.
  • For those students who do not have private insurance and are unable to pay the subsidized fee, Smile Illinois provides generous grant-assistance. NO CHILD IS EVER TURNED AWAY for lack of resources.
  • Medicaid and “All Kids Insurance” will cover this service 100%.

Permission slips have been sent home with your elementary students. Junior high and high school students can pick up a form in the office.

 Please return forms ASAP!

You can learn more about the Smile Program by going to the website: www.mobiledentists.com.  You may also call the school and ask to speak to Nurse Pam at 309-365-2741.

About our school

The Lexington School District is located in and around a small rural community situated along Interstate #55, north of the twin cities of Bloomington and Normal. The city of Lexington has a population of approximately 2,100 people and is viewed as an up-and-coming community with small town values and big city amenities.  Approximately 500 students in grades PreK-12 are housed at one campus located in Lexington. Our school is rich in tradition in the classroom and on the athletic fields.  We are proud of the outstanding academic opportunities that we are able to offer our students, whether it is our small class sizes of at the elementary level, or the multiple dual-credit opportunities for our high school students. Recently named one of the Best High Schools by the US World and News Report, please contact us or stop by our school and see what it takes to become a Lexington Minutemen!
