What's Happening



FREE COMMUNITY LUNCH

The Lexington Board of Education and staff would like to continue to say Thank You to the community for passing the education referendum in the Spring of 2016.    On Saturday, January 27th, 2018, please join us for a spaghetti lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  This free lunch being provided will include spaghetti, breadsticks, salad, and dessert.  For drinks there will be water, tea, and lemonade.  We are asking that anyone planning on attending RSVP the school by Tuesday, January 23rd at noon so we know how many will be attending.  You may RSVP at the following phone numbers:  (309) 365-2711 or (309) 365-2741.  District funds are not being used for the luncheon.  All costs for food and drinks are being donated.  


STATE-OF-THE-DISTRICT MEETING

Following the community lunch, the Board of Education will be holding its third annual State-of-the District meeting in the new gym at 1:00 p.m.  At the meeting, we will be updating the community on where the district is in regards to finances, curriculum, and what our prospects look like as we move forward. Please plan on joining us for lunch and our meeting.

Trip includes ROUND TRIP AIRFARE from Bloomington AND hotel accommodations at a BEACHFRONT RESORT!

Trip can be exchanged for destinations to Las Vegas, NV and also Scottsdale, AZ.

Raffle to be held during halftime of the boys’ basketball game on February 13, 2018. You do not have to be present to win!

Yearbooks

Yearbooks are in! 2017 seniors can pick up their yearbooks in the office. A few additional books are available for purchase from Mr. Peacock at the original cost of $60. Orders are automatically placed for all high school students for the 2018 yearbook. Look for information in the mail from Josten's.

About our school

The Lexington School District is located in and around a small rural community situated along Interstate #55, north of the twin cities of Bloomington and Normal. The city of Lexington has a population of approximately 2,100 people and is viewed as an up-and-coming community with small town values and big city amenities.  Approximately 500 students in grades PreK-12 are housed at one campus located in Lexington. Our school is rich in tradition in the classroom and on the athletic fields.  We are proud of the outstanding academic opportunities that we are able to offer our students, whether it is our small class sizes of at the elementary level, or the multiple dual-credit opportunities for our high school students.
