Info for 2017-18 School Year

Junior High Orientation
For the past few years, I have been using a webcast to create a small audio and video clip to discuss the upcoming Junior High school year.  I apologize that I am far from being an expert with this type of production, however, I believe this method allows us to be able to send out this important information to you rather than attempting to get all of our junior high students and families together on the same night for a meeting.

I HIGHLY encourage both the parents and students to watch this small video in an attempt to answer many questions about the upcoming school year. --Mr. Deters

About our school

The Lexington School District is located in and around a small rural community situated along Interstate #55, north of the twin cities of Bloomington and Normal. The city of Lexington has a population of approximately 2,100 people and is viewed as an up-and-coming community with small town values and big city amenities.  Approximately 500 students in grades PreK-12 are housed at one campus located in Lexington. Our school is rich in tradition in the classroom and on the athletic fields.  We are proud of the outstanding academic opportunities that we are able to offer our students, whether it is our small class sizes of at the elementary level, or the multiple dual-credit opportunities for our high school students. Recently named one of the Best High Schools by the US World and News Report, please contact us or stop by our school and see what it takes to become a Lexington Minutemen!
