We welcome family, friends, and the Lexington Community to celebrate the Class of 2024 with our Graduation ceremony this Sunday at 3:00 P.M. in the High School Gym.
Additionally, all are welcome to celebrate the Class of 2028 with our 8th Grade Promotion on Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. in the High School Gym.
Junior High Track & Field ended their season last weekend on a HIGH note in a BIG way: Overall, our 7th Grade Boys placed 4th in Class 1A as a team. We also had the following individuals & relays place: Tyson Hari - 1st place long jump (State Champion!) Colton Thomas -4th place hurdles 7th grade boys 4x200m Relay- 1st Place (Tyson Hari, Colton Thomas, Caleb McClusky, Keegen Cross) - (State Champions!) 7th grade boys 4x400m Relay- 4th place (Keegen Cross, Colton Thomas, Holden Ketelsen, Caleb McClusky) 7th grade girls 4x200 Relay-5th place (Ceci Deters, Avery Weber, Jaelyn Melton, Makayla Tyner) Addy Donahue- 8th place 400m Austin Hardman-4th place high jump 8th grade boys 4x200m relay 6th place (Logan Luehmann, Isaac Myers, Jaxson Hardman, Austin Hardman) 8th grade boys 4x400m relay (Isaac Myers, Jaxson Hardman, Austin Hardman, Kohl Thomas)
Shoutout to Meredith Grunloh who was the lone Ridgeview-Lexington state qualifier for IHSA Girls Track in the High Jump back to back years!
Unfortunately she did not advance to Saturday but we are super proud of her and her hard work!

"Key Club has awarded its first grant to support our teachers. Teachers were able to apply for grant funds to support their classroom. We are proud to say, Amanda Carter, Lexington Elementary School teacher, was awarded $500 to support her students. Way to Go"

Would you like a piece of Minutemen memorabilia? Please take a look at the pictures below. As a a part of our locker room renovations, we salvaged the benches from the boys' and girls' locker rooms. We grabbed the benches that our district can reuse in the future leaving the following to be deemed "surplus property." Each bench is for sale for $20, no matter the size. Here is the following sizes that we have available at first come, first serve:
UPDATE: We have one 10 foot long bench with beige legs remaining.

Congratulations to Coach Doug Yoder & Coach Rob Haslett on their IBCA "Coach of the Year" recognition this past weekend at the IBCA Banquet.
Coach Haslett was even treated to a surprise donut / breakfast celebration with the 7th Grade team as he arrived to work one morning!

A big shout out to our baseball, softball, and track Senior Athletes. We thank each of you for your contributions to our programs and recognizing our programs well!
Author Ralph Shayne visited some of our students today to discuss his book Hour of Need. Thanks to a generous donation from the Lexington Public Library, all of our fifth graders received a copy of his book and Mr. Shayne signed those copies today.
There is a shortage of officials for all high school sports! Anyone (age 16+) interested in officiating, there will be an informational meeting held on May 16 at Normal Community High School at 6pm in the NCHS gym. Please consider attending and learning more about becoming an IHSA licensed official so our student athletes can continue to compete.

Softball is rescheduled for Wednesday May 1. (This will also be Senior Recognition.)
